Insurance... fear fear fear....

Insurance... I have none... I don't believe in it... It is all fear based!

This piece below was written in response to a post concerning healthcare in general and more care for the autistic...

There are things we need insurance for, accidents, etc., but if we avoided all the unnecessary so-called care, the other could be paid for by the government with our taxes, no problem, and the rest of the money could be spent on health enhancing techniques instead of keeping people alive with no quality of life; and I'm not just talking about bed ridden folks, I'm talking about forty year olds who can''t climb a flight of stairs, can't run 10 yards, can't make love without little blue pills... Please people wake up!

OK now the piece... :-)

Insurance... perhaps we might think about changing our lives so that all this coverage become unnecessary.

It's a fact that the majority of all covered doctor's visits and prescribed pharmaceuticals could be avoided if people would stop eating shit, drinking too much, and sitting on their asses.

As far as I'm concerned these people don’t deserve subsidized care. I'm not happy about paying for their self imposed damage; meanwhile I can't get proper preventative care so that I may avoid the very crap they have gotten themselves into. Whatever happened to being responsible for ones actions?

Concerning autism, stop poisoning our children with fear marketed vaccines.. That’s a start… Instead of looking for drugs to fix it, learn how to prevent it, to heal it. Drugs never heal a thing....

I absolutely, completely agree ... although I'd like to have some compassion for the people who are sedentary and diseased. I'm in Indiana now, where a huge proportion of the population (more than in Florida) is overweight and looks ... awful, but I'm also aware of the work even I have to do to eat food, not food-ish things. If you're not well educated, if you didn't happen to have one person in your life who understood the nature of the self-perpetuating industrial fast-food/industrial medicine/greed culture, and could talk with you about it, then every piece of information, every media piece, is only going to reinforce this way of "life." Of course, there is a laziness component as well - it's much easier to eat the cheap, fast food available, it's much easier to take a pill - but it seems like so many people are so poorly educated that they can't think beyond what they're fed on TV and fast-food joints and from their "doctor" (whom they're supposed to trust, right?). I watched a "Nightline" segment last night on H1N1, and if I didn't already have a sense of the culture of fear (leading to control and money-making of the insurance companies), if I didn't know to listen carefully between the lines, if I didn't have access to, and a desire to read, alternative media, then I would have been terrified and run out to get a vaccine. You have to listen *very* carefully to hear little things like, they expect very few people to die, etc. ... and there's no comparison to the number of people who die from flu now, because that wouldn't be very dramatic, would it? And then it would all just sound silly. So that's my rant! Thanks, Gabriel ...

thanks my friend, the one I’ve never met.. hee hee...

I have compassion, but I've learned compassion has a partner wisdom and that when both are not in play nothing good occurs...

also if they were not dosing people with poisons that perhaps are not even effective, just cause harm, then people would be more open to learning how to tonify their immune systems so as to help them keep things like this at bay....

I hope u find a way to practice your healing skills. You have a fine view of things and a good heart... If u do get into something going and would like me to come to speak to a group I'd be happy to...

I'm off to Denmark on Thursday for 30 days of investigation and bliss...

Be well and smiles....gi

Oh my, I'm glad you have a magic force field around you sheilding you from disease - and how do you keep the corporations from poisoning you - like here in Monterey they tried to spray us with pesticides for years 9 months of the year.
If you don't live by - there but for the grace of God go I, and what is done to the least among us is done to us all - then you aren't my kind of person.
Shit happens to everyone. If we don't force the money greed corrupt for profit health care industry into regulation, we are doomed as a democracy. We are in a fight, capitalism vs. democracy. Will we fight more wars for profit, and spend down our budget until there is nothing left for social services as the neo-cons such as Grover Norquist planned, or shall we have enough money like every other First World industrialized nation to afford health care for all? It's your choice. You, too, one day may fall apart even though you think you are invulnerable.

Dear Jan, I do believe I have a field which I have created to protect me. I have not used the western medical system since 2001 after they told me I was dying and that there was no hope of my recovery. U see there is soo much more help out there and few tap into it... such as the qi field which surrounds me, herbs, acupuncture and other alt modes of healing I used to get well when "they" advised I go home and die... read about it on my site… http://www.subtlethings.com/

The insurance business like all other “business” is out there to make money and as such they market themselves in a fashion that creates a market, buyers, us... This particular business "is" based on fear and so that's their marketing plan, fear... “Oh this will happen, oh that might happen, oh I better cover my ass...”

The only truly catastrophic thing that might occur is an accident, and until the government becomes compassionate and wise and offers this type of care without charge we will always be in fear of losing our homes, life savings, everything; because of an accident and because of the hospitals outrageous changes i.e. $10 tongue depressors and $5000. five min CAT scans...

Today I am writing u from Denmark... Here healthcare is free, school is free, all are cared for, the population makes this for sure for they offer a good portion of their pay, good pay I must add, to pay for all such things. Unlike American where the rich many times pay a much smaller percentage of their income in taxes because of loophole and such, here the wealthy may pay as much as 70% in tax, and no one bitches... Here they see it as cooperation, as the compassionate thing to do to care for all of the population…

The other day I visited my lady’s school, as well as two others... beautiful, high tech, clean, and quiet where every child learns two languages from the third grade on, and are very well cared for. I also had opportunity to visit the court system here, so few there that we were the only ones on the docket, we were called exactly when scheduled and out in 15 mins. The building was super clean, beautiful, hitech, and as quiet as a church…

Until “we the people” are willing to give up the idea of having more than we need, until we drop out of the revolving door of I want, I need, I buy, I’m dissatisfied, I buy again; we will never find a way to live in this world, for we will consume all there is, and someday, perhaps sooner than we think, all will be no more.........

Be well my friend… big smiles…gi

Gabriel, I agree that we need to look after our own health but as Jan said we are not in control of external factors like pollutants in our air, earth and water. Greedy profit seeking corporations have taken over the world and many have forgotten that Mother Earth sustains us. Part of the problem with health is that it is too costly due to the huge bonuses that insurance company CEO's award themselves. Don't these people relaise that money won't help you if you are terminally ill.

When all the trees have been cut down,
when all the animals have been hunted,
when all the waters are polluted,
when all the air is unsafe to breathe,
only then will you discover you cannot eat money.
~ Cree Prophecy ~

In Australia we have a system similar to Denmark where everyone is covered. The only problem with this is that people often visit the doctor or hospital unnecessarily.
My son became very sick despite living a healthy lifestyle. At age 30 he suffered a major stroke caused by an undiagnosed brain tumour. This was in no way his fault. He's alays had a healthy mostly vegetarian diet from me and his wife. He's always been physically active. This was in no way his fault so society should bear the cost of his treatment.
Obama has a mandate for health reform so needs to fulfill his electoral promise to the people.

Tess… Thank u for contributing to the blog. The more input the clearer things become. Sometimes :-)

Yes Obama has said he would do certain things, but in our system it takes more than one man, in our system even presidents quickly find out that compromise is much too necessary in order to bring things to pass; so that the thing promised is hardly recognizable once realized…

Now as far as the earth… yes things out of our control... Let me first say many use this as a excuses to throw up their hands and say “I cannot do a thing about X or Y so why try all I can do is insure myself for the inevitable,” but we must know, and if not learn, there are things, many things we can do beyond the so-called norm to protect ourselves from bad air, water and other pathogens.

While at a amuzement park here in DK, this one in the center of an old growth forest, my lady spotted for me a fine specimen of the Chaga mushroom… It was behind a fence in the park, so I introduced myself to one of the attendants, told him I was an herbalist and that right behind him was a wonderful thing that has been used to prevent illness and heal many diseases and that I wanted it… He asked if I were to remove it if it might damage the tree. I assured him it would not, so he let me jump the fence and have at it… Once I’m home I will make an elixir with it, one that will keep me strong and healthy for over one year, this for the price of a 1/2 gal of vodka…

Everyone is not an herbalist, but everyone has a choice to make, the choice to stay ignorant or the one be become informed. The system we have is both functionally and systemically wrong and if we change the way things are paid for and do not change the kind of medicine offered it will not be much better, or as u said people will out of fear continue to see doctors without cause, and even then not be saved from disease and death.

This change must include the ability for all to choose whether they want to use western, eastern or a combination of both as their healthcare package… Only then will we truly have a free and fair system, only then will we have a chance to be well on our own terms… and only then will big business be taken out of the cycle, out of the game, at least in part… and that’s the best we can hope for right now…

Smiles…gi
